(Buffalo, NY) Steve Cichon received the unanimous endorsement of the Erie County Democratic Committee at a meeting held this evening in the Larkinville District.
“I am proud to have earned the endorsement of the Erie County Democratic committee and I look forward to running on such a strong, diverse slate,” said Cichon. “I am in this race to win it, and I am ready to lead the Clerk’s Office, which I think is the greatest job in Erie County. It is the most direct, service oriented position in government and I look forward to speaking with the voters about my vision of an Erie County Clerk’s Office that is the most responsive and most efficient in our history. I want to make it easier start a small business, streamline the pistol permit process and bring the Department of Motor Vehicles into the Internet Age. Together, we will win this race, hit the ground running, and get things done for our community.”
Starting at the age of fifteen, Cichon spent 20 years working in Buffalo radio and television news; including ten years as a reporter and News Director at WBEN Radio. Since then, he has spent the last four years as an adjunct professor at Medaille College and as a freelance writer and historian, primarily for The Buffalo News and his start-up Buffalo Stories LLC. He lives in Buffalo with his wife, Monica.
